Plant Health Microbiome 2025

Evolving our research practices and our visions

Faced with global changes, the decline in the quantity and quality of harvests threatens food security in the intertropical zone, and in the medium term in temperate zones. To propose innovative and sustainable solutions, it is necessary to consider plant health in an integrative manner, including various disciplines such as phytopathology (centered on the pathogen), microbiology (study of the communities of organisms associated with plants and soil), functional ecology (study of the link between plant traits and their functioning in the agroecosystem) and agronomy (effect of practices on microbial communities). Indeed, the redesign of agroecological cropping systems can largely reshape the balances between plants/beneficial microorganisms/pathogens. This conference is a unique opportunity to reflect on more holistic solutions for the future of global agriculture and to promote international exchanges.
